The Criminal Investigation Bureau (CIB) said Monday that a cross-strait operation by Taiwanese and Chinese police busted a smartphone short message service (SMS) malware fraud ring and a total of 40 suspects, including 13 Taiwanese and 27 Chinese, were arrested.
