Taiwan's stray dogs go abroad

Taiwan has many abandoned dogs, but did you know some of them are given better lives in other countries? Since 2012, the Taiwanese charity Mary’s Doggies sent nearly 2,000 dogs abroad to their adoptive families mainly in the U.S., Canada, Holland and Germany. Because of the COVID-19 travel restrictions, however, there have been few flights or passengers to accompany the dogs to fly overseas, so many of them have been unable to begin new lives with their adoptive families.
