Taipei, July 2 (CNA) The Houston Astros of the Major League Baseball have placed Taiwanese pitcher Teng Kai-wei (鄧愷威) on the 15-day injured list and rescinded his option to the Triple-A Sugar Land Space Cowboys.
The decision to list the right-hander as injured -- a right knee sprain -- was made retroactive to June 28, according to an announcement posted Wednesday on the Astros website.

Teng's June 28 option to the team's Triple-A affiliate in Sugar Land was voided, the Astros said, adding that he will continue rehabilitation in Florida while transitioning back to a relief role.
Teng, 27, has a 4.36 ERA with a 4-6 record this season. He made five starts in June, going 1-3 with a 7.77 ERA after allowing 19 earned runs in 22 innings.
