Taipei, Sept. 21 (CNA) Taiwanese veteran Hsieh Su-wei (謝淑薇) and her partner Barbora Strycova of the Czech Republic celebrated their fourth title of the season at the Internazionali BNL d'Italia tennis tournament in Rome on Sunday after beating their opponents in two straight sets.

Hsieh and Strycova, the top seeded pair at the tournament, defeated Anna-Lena Friedsam of Germany and Raluca Olaru of Romania 6-2, 6-2 in the women's doubles final.

The duo opened with a strong start, taking an early 3-1 lead before finishing the first set with 6-2 against their opponents.

They maintained their pace in the second set to finish another 6-2 in a game that lasted 63 minutes at the Foro Italico clay court in Rome.

The victory also marked their fourth title win this season, after the Brisbane International in January, the Dubai Tennis Championships, and the Qatar Total Open in February.

The Italian tournament, held from Sept. 14-21, is classified as an Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) Tour Masters 1,000 event on the 2020 ATP Tour.
