Shipments of edible vegetable oils imported from Japan and the United Arab Emirates have been seized at the border for containing excessive levels of glycidyl fatty acid esters (GEs), a suspected carcinogen, the Taiwan Food and Drug Administration (TFDA) said Tuesday.
