No evidence that expectorants can reduce COVID-19 mortality: CECC

There is currently not enough evidence to support the theory that expectorant medication, which is usually used to clear mucus from the airway, can help reduce the mortality rate among COVID-19 patients, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) said Monday.
