Taiwan COVID-19 cases could soon hit 1,000 a day after reaching 551 Tuesday

The daily number of domestic COVID-19 infections are almost certain to reach 1,000 by the end of April, Health and Welfare Minister Chen Shih-chung (陳時中) predicted Tuesday as Taiwan reported a single-day high for 2022 of 551 new domestic cases.
