Taiwan lifts sea warning for Tropical Storm Danas
Taipei, July 18 (CNA) The Central Weather Bureau (CWB) lifted a sea warning for Tropical Storm Danas at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, saying the system was moving away from Taiwan in a northerly direction.
As of 5 p.m. Thursday, Danas was located 360 kilometers west of Naha in Okinawa, Japan, moving northward at a speed of 26 kilometers per hour, the CWB said.
The storm was carrying sustained winds of 72 kilometers per hour, with gusts of up to 101 kph and had a radius of 150 km, the CWB said.
By 5 p.m. Friday, the eye of the storm is likely to be located 630 kilometers north-northwest of Naha, according to the weather bureau.
