Mangkhut upgraded to typhoon, could pose threat to Taiwan

A tropical storm that formed over the Pacific was upgraded to Typhoon Mangkhut Sunday afternoon and is expected to intensify with the possibility it could reach Taiwan Saturday, the Central Weather Bureau (CWB) forecast.
