Mercury could exceed 30 degrees in most areas of Taiwan until Sunday

Daytime temperature highs will stay at over 30 degrees Celsius until Sunday, when a new weather front will bring occasional showers to areas north of central Taiwan, eastern Taiwan, and mountainous areas in the south, the Central Weather Bureau forecast Friday.
