Court orders former defense minister, officers to pay compensation

The Taipei District Court ruled Thursday that six former Air Force officers, including a former defense minister, must each pay NT$14.74 million (US$491,358) to the Ministry of National Defense (MND) over the wrongful conviction and execution of an airman in 1997.
