KMT presidential candidate to restart nuclear power plants if elected

New Taipei Mayor Hou Yu-ih (侯友宜), the Kuomintang (KMT) candidate in Taiwan's 2024 presidential election, said Wednesday that he would not phase out nuclear power if elected, and would reopen decommissioned plants.
