DPP's Su Jia-chyuan elected legislative speaker (update)

Su Jia-chyuan (蘇嘉全) of the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) was elected Monday as speaker of the Legislative Yuan on its opening day, garnering 74 votes from the 113 lawmakers.
