Scholar: U.S. unlikely to change existing Taiwan policies

Even with a change of administration in Taiwan after the 2016 presidential election, "the current conditions seem insufficient to change existing patterns of cautious U.S. policies to Taiwan," said Professor Robert Sutter of George Washington University, at a university seminar Tuesday.
