Taipei, June 27 (CNA) The Golden Melody Awards (GMA) will kick off at 7 p.m. on Saturday at Taipei Arena, celebrating achievements by artists in the local pop music industry.
Now in their 37th year, the Golden Melody Awards -- organized by Taiwan's Ministry of Culture (MOC) -- remain the most prestigious music awards in the Chinese-speaking world. In 2014, Billboard described the awards as the "Grammys of the Mandarin pop world."
Highlights of the 2026 GMA ceremony include the red carpet event, a prelude to the main show, as well as interviews with dozens of arriving celebrities and performing artists.

In Taiwan, Taiwan Television Enterprise (TTV) is broadcasting the red carpet event and the awards ceremony, which will also be streamed live online by Line Today and Line Music.
In Singapore, the live stream will be available through StarHub, while viewers in Malaysia and Brunei can use their local Astro services, according to the organizer.
Outside the four countries, viewers in North America will be able to watch reruns through various channels, including iTalkBB, Dish Network and Sling TV.
