The 45-day celebration will take place around popular attractions surrounding the city center, such as Civic Plaza, Banqiao Station Square, New Banqiao Central Park, Fuzhong Plaza and the Banqiao Bus Station, New Taipei's Tourism and Travel Department said at a news conference.

Additionally, the department said it will be collaborating with the social media application Line to adopt a number of its mascots as celebrity ambassadors for Christmasland.

Besides a special circus-themed show to open the Christmasland on Nov. 14, the department also unveiled a large lantern that will serve as the main backdrop of the 2025 Christmasland.

At Thursday's event, New Taipei Mayor Hou Yu-ih (侯友宜) highlighted the latest projection technology that will be used in the main stage of the celebration to bring an immersive experience to attendees.

There will also be a "European Fairytale Village" that would bring a festive spirit to Christmasland, Hou said.

According to the department, other special events include a children's circus carnival between Nov. 15 and 16, the German Christmas Market experience from Dec. 5 to 7, a celebrity concert on Dec. 13 and 14 as well as an orchestral concert on Christmas Day itself that is the main event.

The department also implored prospective attendees to utilize public transportation due to the high foot traffic projected over the 45-day celebration.
