Hong Kong democracy important for cross-strait relations: Taiwan

The Mainland Affairs Council (MAC), Taiwan's top agency responsible for China policy, expressed hope Friday for the steady growth of democracy in Hong Kong, which it said would mean a lot to the long-term development of cross-Taiwan Strait relations.
