Taipei, Jan. 16 (CNA) The U.S. dollar rose sharply against the Taiwan dollar Thursday, gaining NT$0.137 to close at NT$32.928.
Turnover totaled US$845 million during the trading session.
The greenback opened at NT$32.950, and moved between NT$32.895 and NT$32.999 before the close.
