WT Microelectronics to acquire Singapore-based firm for almost NT$5b

WT Microelectronics Co., a Taiwan-based semiconductor component distributor, has agreed to acquire Singapore-listed Excelpoint Technology Ltd. for almost NT$5 billion (US$179 million), in a bid to strengthen its product portfolio.
