Taiwan shares recoup heavy losses, end 9 session losing streak

Shares in Taiwan recovered earlier heavy losses caused by volatility on U.S. markets overnight to end a nine session losing streak and finish the day above the 16,800 point mark, as bargain hunters turned active to take advantage of the initial downturn, dealers said.
