Sales at western fast food stores rise despite COVID woes

Fast food restaurants and vendors in Taiwan saw a sales increase of over 5 percent in May from a year earlier, bucking the downturn in the country's food and beverage industry amid a national Level 3 alert against COVID-19, according to the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA).
