Pilots blamed for TransAsia Airways crash in Penghu

Taipei, Jan. 29 (CNA) The crash of TransAsia Airways Flight 222 in Taiwan's outlying Penghu County in July 2014 was the result of "repeated violations" of the standard operation procedure on the part of the flight crew, Taiwan's Aviation Safety Council said in its findings Friday,

The crash occurred on July 23, 2014, when the ATR 72-500 carrying 54 passengers and 4 crew members from Kaohsiung wend down near Magong Airport on Penghu Island. Forty-eight people were killed and 10 others were injured.
