Tsai, Lai appear in public together for the first time since primary

President Tsai Ing-wen (蔡英文) and former premier Lai Ching-te (賴清德) campaigned in Tainan on Saturday, making their first public appearance together since they competed to be the preferred candidate in the presidential primary held by their party, the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP), in June.
