President calls for new model in development of ties with China

A new proposal put forward by President Tsai Ing-wen (蔡英文) as a basis for cross-strait relations is consistent with the government's longstanding policy of maintaining regional peace and stability, Presidential Office spokesman Sidney Lin (林鶴明) said on Wednesday.
