Former KMT chief urges Xi to follow Taiwan's peace initiative

Former Kuomintang (KMT) Chairman Lien Chan (連戰) has told Chinese President Xi Jinping (習近平) that all parties concerned should attach importance to a peace initiative broached by Taiwan to resolve disputes in East Asia, Lien's spokesman said Tuesday.
