Taiwan awaits Intel's reply on WiMAX withdrawal speculation

The government was waiting Tuesday for a reply from Intel Corp. over speculation that the world's largest chip maker is backing out of WiMAX wireless technology, Vice Economics Minister Hwang Jung-chiou said that day.
