Taipei, Dec. 7 (CNA) An additional 4,700 seats will be made available at the venue of the Asian Baseball Championship for the final on Sunday, the operator of the Taipei Dome said Thursday.

With the addition of the 4,700 infield seats, the Taipei Dome will be able to accommodate 22,000 spectators for the championship game, Farglory said, noting that the opener between Taiwan and South Korea on Dec. 3 drew nearly 17,000 fans.

The 4,700 seats that will be added on Sunday will all be on the upper deck of the newly completed Taipei Dome, which has a capacity of around 40,000, according to Farglory, the builder and operator of the stadium.

The competitions on Sunday will start at 12:30 p.m. with the third-place game, followed by the final at 6:30 p.m., and the closing ceremony will be held at 10 p.m.

Tickets for games on Sunday are set to go on sale Saturday, with the organizers announcing further details once they are finalized.
