Taipei, July 1 (CNA) The Office of the President issued a Presidential Order on Wednesday dismissing Taiwan's trade representative Yang Jen-ni (楊珍妮) from her post in the wake of a report by the Cabinet that found she bullied her late deputy Yen Huai-hsing (顏慧欣).
Following allegations that surfaced after Yen resigned in February and died on March 12 at 53, the Cabinet released a report on its investigation last week concluding that Yang, a minister without portfolio, created a difficult working environment for Yen.
The investigation found that Yang consistently used her position and authority to interrupt Yen's remarks and dismiss her views, determining that such actions constituted workplace bullying.
Yang denied any wrongdoing and questioned the legitimacy of the report, saying the investigation lacked procedural fairness and relied on limited testimony.
Yang also said she is considering the possibility of taking legal action over what she described as damage to her reputation.
