
Taipei, Nov. 26 (CNA) A ticker-tape parade was held in Taipei on Tuesday to welcome back the Team Taiwan players who achieved a historic feat by winning the World Baseball Softball Confederation's (WBSC) Premier12 Championship for the first time on Sunday.
Beginning at 3:10 p.m., participants drove in a convoy of vehicles from the intersection of Ketagalan Boulevard and Gongyuan Rd., and then passed through Xiangyang Rd. and Taipei's "Canyon of Heroes" along Guanqian Rd., where confetti were released to pay tribute to the team.
It turned left onto the south side of Sect. 1 of Zhongxiao West Rd., then took another left onto Sec. 1 of Chongqing South Rd, before the parade ended at the Presidential Office.
