Taipei, Oct. 6 (CNA) A magnitude 4.5 earthquake struck off the coast of southern Taiwan at 4:41 p.m. Tuesday, according to the Central Weather Administration (CWA).
There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
The epicenter of the temblor was located at sea, about 42.4 kilometers south-southwest of Kaohsiung City Hall, at a depth of 34.1 km, according to the agency.
The earthquake's intensity was highest in Kaohsiung, where it measured 3 on Taiwan's 7-tier intensity scale.
The quake also measured an intensity of 2 in Pingtung County, the CWA said.
