New Taipei records 9°C, cold surge advisory in place through Monday

New Taipei recorded a low of 9 degrees Celsius in the early hours on Sunday, while temperatures in northern Taiwan are still likely to fall below 10 degrees before a cold air mass weakens on Monday, according to the Central Weather Bureau.
