New COVID wave from BA.4, BA.5 may start late August: CECC

A new wave of COVID-19 infections caused by two new Omicron subvariants BA.4 and BA.5 could occur in Taiwan in late August or early September, Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) spokesman Chuang Jen-hsiang (莊人祥) said on Wednesday.
