Water suspension to affect over 100,000 households in Taichung

Taipei, Aug. 14 (CNA) Water supplies in some area of Taichung in central Taiwan will be suspended for 23-46 hours from 10 a.m. Aug. 20 to allow for pipeline maintenance, the Taiwan Water Corp. (TWC) announced Tuesday.

According to the TWC, water in some parts of Tanzi District and Daya District will be cut for 23 hours starting from 10 a.m. Aug. 20.

Meanwhile, households in parts of Beitun, Xitun, Nantun, Central, East, West, South and North districts will be left without water from 10 a.m. Aug. 20 to 8 a.m. Aug. 22.

A total of 105,000 households are expected to be affected, while a further 12,000 will experience low water pressure, the TWC said.
