Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC), the world's largest pure wafer foundry operator, has accounted for about 70 percent of global contract production of micro control units (MCUs) used in cars, the government-sponsored Market Intelligence & Consulting Institute (MIC) said Tuesday.
