
Taipei, April 19 (CNA) A trade delegation led by Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon arrived in Taiwan on Saturday for a four-day visit, according to Taiwan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA).
MOFA said in a news release on Saturday that Gordon's delegation will meet with Vice President Hsiao Bi-khim (蕭美琴) and Economic Affairs Minister Kuo Jyh-huei (郭智輝) before concluding their visit on April 22.
During the visit, the Wyoming Energy Authority will sign a memorandum of understanding with the Taiwan Association of Quantum Computing and Information Technology to pave the way for bilateral cooperation on the development of quantum technology, MOFA said.
Local news outlets in Wyoming reported earlier that the delegation, which includes officials from the energy sector, is visiting Taiwan and Japan as part of a trade mission to promote the state's natural gas, coal and rare earth industries.
