Taipei, Dec. 30 (CNA) A televised debate featuring Taiwan's three candidates in the Jan. 13 presidential election kicked off at the Public Television Service (PTS) headquarters at 2 p.m. on Saturday.

Read CNA's reporting on the 150-minute debate that saw Vice President Lai Ching-te (賴清德) of the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP), New Taipei Mayor Hou Yu-ih (侯友宜) of the main opposition Kuomintang (KMT), and Taiwan People's Party (TPP) Chairman Ko Wen-je (柯文哲) launch personal attacks on each other and clash over China policies.
