Taiwan remains beacon of democracy: Visiting Paraguay president

Taiwan continues to "serve as a beacon of democracy in the region" despite facing sustained pressure, Paraguayan President Abdo Benitez, who is on a five-day visit to Taiwan, said on Thursday in Taipei.
