Taiwan Policy Act unlikely to clear current Congress: Taiwan official

It is unlikely that the proposed Taiwan Policy Act (TPA), which was approved by a U.S. Senate committee last week, will clear the U.S. Congress before the end of the current term, according to a senior Taiwanese official with knowledge of the issue.
