Education minister-designate questioned over China trips

One day after the announcement that Academia Sinica academician Wu Maw-kuen (吳茂昆) will be the next minister of education, questions were raised Tuesday about his activities in China after the opposition Kuomintang (KMT) accused him of serving as an adviser to a Beijing-funded science institute.
