Less than half of the respondents, or 45.8 percent, to a recent poll said that last week's summit meeting between the presidents of Taiwan and China in Singapore will help peaceful development of cross-Taiwan Strait relations, while 39.8 percent do not think so, according to the poll results released Tuesday.
