Wei Ming-ku claims victory in Changhua magistrate election

Taipei, Nov. 29 (CNA) Wei Ming-ku of the Democratic Progressive Party claimed to be the winner in the race for magistrate of Changhua County Saturday three and a half hours after the polls closed.

Pending confirmation by election officials, the victory means DPP has wrested control of the county from the KMT.
