Two officials of the ruling Kuomintang's (KMT's) Pingtung County chapter were taken into custody Tuesday over alleged involvement in an election smear campaign aimed at Pan Men-an, the Pingtung magistrate candidate of the opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP).
