Lai keeps DPP's solid grip on Tainan

William Lai, a medical doctor-turned politician, declared victory Saturday in the soon-to-be created special municipality of Tainan City, helping the opposition Democratic Progressive Party keep its tight grip on one of its most stable strongholds.
