The 57th Golden Horse Awards ceremony will take place at 7 p.m. on Saturday at the National Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall in Taipei, with the red carpet event starting at 5:30 p.m.

A total of 40 nominated films will compete for awards in 23 categories.

Ahead of the awards ceremony, 2017 best new director winner Huang Hsin-yao's (黃信堯) clinched the non-competition Golden Horse Audience Choice Award on Friday for his comedy drama "Classmates Minus," which is nominated for nine awards.

Focus Taiwan will update the latest award winners in all categories on this page, along with highlights on the red carpet. The organizers also provide online broadcast through various channels in Taiwan and around the world.

★Best Action Choreography: Teddy Ray Huang, Li Shao-peng / Get the Hell Out

★Best Supporting Actor: Nadow Lin / Classmates Minus

★Outstanding Taiwanese Filmmaker of the Year: Peng Ren-meng, a veteran best boy eletric who had participated in several films nominated this year, such as "Your Name Engraved Herein," "My Missing Valentine," and "Get the Hell Out," before he passed away earlier this year.

★Best Supporting Actress: Chen Shu-fang / Dear Tenant

★Best Cinematography: Yao Hung-i / Your Name Engraved Herein

★Best Original Screenplay: Chen Yu-hsun / My Missing Valentine

★Best Adapted Screenplay: Felix Tsang, Kiwi Chow / Beyond the Dream

★Best Sound Effects: Kuo Li-chi, Lee Dong-hwan / The Silent Forest

★Best New Performer: Chen Yan-fei / The Silent Forest

★Best Animated Short Film: Night Bus / Directed by Joe Hsieh

One of the parts was voiced by best supporting actress award winner Chen Shu-fang.

Best New Director: Chong Keat-aun / The Story of Southern Islet, which also won the FIPRESCI (International Federation of Film Critics) Prize a day earlier.
