China's military exercises aimed at blockading Taiwan: defense ministry

The Ministry of National Defense (MND) on Wednesday blasted China's plan to hold a series of live-fire military drills in six maritime areas near Taiwan from Aug. 4 to 7, saying it is an attempt to blockade the country.
