Hon Hai, Vedanta's India chip plant expected to start production in 2025

A joint venture by Taiwan's Hon Hai Precision Industry Co. and India's Vedanta Ltd. to build a semiconductor plant in Gujarat could start producing 12-inch wafers using the 28-nanometer process in 2025, a Vedanta executive said Sunday.
