Taiwan shares end up but gains capped before U.S. inflation data

Shares in Taiwan extended their gains from a session earlier to move higher on Tuesday, but turnover remained thin to cap the rise amid lingering caution before the release of the August U.S. inflation data later in the day, dealers said.
