U.S. House passes act backing closer military ties with Taiwan

The U.S. House of Representatives passed the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2018 in a full session Friday that includes clauses backing expanded military exchanges with Taiwan and amendments on the matter of Taiwan ports of call by the U.S. Navy.
