Taipei, Aug. 7 (CNA) With temperatures in Taipei hitting a record high in Taiwan for 2017, power consumption soared Monday, triggering a red-light alert for the country's power supply sector, according to state-owned Taiwan Power Co. (Taipower, 台電).
