"Here today, with much reluctance, I want to tell all of you in person that these will be my last concerts. I will do my utmost, and with all my energy, to leave my best voice with you before I say goodbye to the pop scene," she said.

The singer said she was very thankful to the heavens for giving her the gift of being able to sing, and she also expressed her appreciation to everybody who helped her and all her fans for their support.

"Without you, there wouldn't have been Chiang Hwei," she said.
